Black dancers in Baltimore are beautiful, talented, creative, yet overshadowed. The talent that lies within professional Black dancers is vast, but Baltimore has yet to give these dancers an opportunity to truly highlight our diverse range of movement on stage.
Often, Black dancers leave Baltimore to showcase their work in faraway venues that will hear their artistic voice. It is time for this to change.
The Black Choreographers Festival, occurring Friday & Saturday, October 14th and 15th 2022, will highlight the diverse talents of Black dance artists in Baltimore through performances and community master classes.
