I wanted to explore black culture, and I wanted that culture to be a revelation.

at Creative Alliance

Black dancers in Baltimore are beautiful, talented, and creative, yet overshadowed. The talent among professional Black dancers is vast, but Baltimore has yet to allow these dancers to highlight our diverse range of movement on stage.

Often, Black dancers leave Baltimore to showcase their work in faraway venues that will hear their artistic voice. It is time for this to change.

The Black Choreographers Festival, occurring Friday - Sunday, October 10th, 11th, and 13th, 2024, will highlight the diverse talents of Black dance artists in Baltimore through performances and community master classes.

Your support of The Black Choreographers Festival is very much appreciated. This festival is for our Baltimore community, filled with dancers, dance lovers, and supporters.
